Lovely small Louis XVI "Bergère" armchair with cream silk upholstery and original wood paint in beige and light blue. Fluted legs and typical hand carved decoration of the style with rosette, vegetal motifs and ribbon. The cushion is not the original one. It is likely that the armchair was rehupholstered in the past.
Origin: France.
Period: Late 18th century or early 19th.
Conditions: Very good. Wear consistent with age and use. Scattered small paint chips over the chair. Important stain on the upholstery. Cushion is not original. Some glue stains.
