A lovely ceramic coffee set from the 1960s.
Glazed ceramic with white mottling reminiscent of sea foam in the 'Fat Lava' style on an ochre clay ground, with a hand-painted decoration of fruit and leaves in bright yellow, pink, green, blue and black, in a very modern and graphic style typical of the period. There is no mark on them.
As they are handmade, there are slight variations in the sizes of the cups and plates.
This enamelled ceramic service consists of: 1 coffee pot, 1 sugar bowl, 1 milk jug, 2 free-form service trays, 6 cups and 6 saucers.
Origin: Spain.
Period: 20th century, the 60s.
Conditions: Very good. Wear consistent with age and use. 2 little chips of the enamel; one on the rim of the coffee pot and another at its spout.
